Terms of Service

For institutions and their staff

These terms are a contract between Craftura Innovations (OPC) Private Limited (CIN U62013AP2026OPC126908), of Gorantla, Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh ("we", "us", the "Platform"), and the institution and staff members who use the QuizQuest admin application ("you").

Please read them. By tapping Accept, or by continuing to use the admin app, you agree to them on your own behalf and, if you are an administrator, on behalf of your institution.

If you do not agree, do not use the admin app.

1. Who these terms cover

These terms apply to everyone who signs in to the QuizQuest admin app:

• Institution administrators — who set up an institution, manage classes, invite teachers and enrol students.
• Teachers — who author content, set homework, host quizzes and monitor their own classes.

Students and public players use a separate app and are covered by a separate agreement. Nothing here creates rights or obligations for them.

If you accept these terms while acting for an institution, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that institution, and "you" in this document means both you and the institution.

2. Definitions

Institution Content — anything you or your colleagues create, upload or import in the admin app that is scoped to your institution: classes, question sets, papers, assignments, notices, teaching notes, rosters and results.

Platform Content — the shared catalogue we publish for every institution: the syllabus library, shared chapter notes, model papers and the question sets that carry no institution of their own.

Uploaded Material — anything you scan, photograph, paste or import into the app that you did not write inside it.

AI Features — the parts of the app that call an artificial-intelligence model on your behalf: question generation, transcription of scanned papers, chapter notes, syllabus and textbook lookups, and paper generation.

Student Data — personal data about your students that reaches the Platform through your institution.

3. Accounts

3.1 Approval. Staff accounts are not active on sign-up. An institution administrator's account is reviewed by us; a teacher's account is reviewed by their own institution's administrator. Until that approval, an account can sign in but can do nothing else.

3.2 Accounts created for you. An institution administrator can create a teacher account and set its first password. If that is how you received your account, these terms still apply to you in full, and you accepted them when you first signed in. Change your password promptly.

3.3 Your credentials are yours. Do not share them. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at crafturainnovations@gmail.com as soon as you believe someone else has access to it.

3.4 One person, one account. Do not create an account for a person who does not exist, and do not use a colleague's account to do your own work. Rosters and audit records name accounts, and an account shared between two people makes both of those records wrong.

4. What your institution is responsible for

4.1 Your roster. You decide who is enrolled, in which classes, and who among your staff can see what. We do not verify that a person you enrol is really your student, or that a teacher you approve really works for you. Keep it accurate, and remove people who have left.

4.2 Consent for student data. Your students are, in most cases, children. Before you add a student to QuizQuest you confirm that you have the consent required under Indian law — including, where the student is under 18, the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian — for their personal data to be processed by a service provider such as us for educational purposes. You hold that relationship with the student and the parent. We do not.

4.3 Lawful use. You will use the admin app only for the education of your own students, and in accordance with applicable law.

4.4 What you publish. Content becomes visible to students when you publish it. You decide what is published and when. See clause 6 for what that means for AI output.

5. Content and who owns what

5.1 Your content stays yours. You own your Institution Content. We claim no ownership of it.

5.2 The licence you give us. So that we can actually run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, process, and display your Institution Content, and to create the derived records the product depends on — published copies, cached copies, search indexes, statistical summaries and leaderboards. This licence exists only to operate and improve QuizQuest for you, lasts as long as you keep the content on the Platform, and ends when the content is deleted, subject to clause 11.4.

5.3 We will not sell your content, and we will not train on it. We do not sell Institution Content or Student Data, and we do not use your content or your students' data to train artificial-intelligence models — ours or anybody else's.

5.4 Platform Content is ours. The shared catalogue we publish remains our property. You may use it to teach your own students inside QuizQuest. You may not extract it in bulk, redistribute it, resell it, or use it to build a competing product.

5.5 Content created for the shared catalogue. Where you deliberately publish into the shared catalogue rather than into your own institution, you grant us a perpetual licence to keep that contribution available to other institutions. The app makes that a distinct, deliberate act; ordinary authoring inside your own institution is never this.

6. AI features

This clause matters more than any other in this document. Read it.

6.1 What the AI features do. Parts of the app send a description of what you want — and, where you supply it, the text you supplied — to a third-party artificial-intelligence provider, and return generated material: draft questions, a transcription of a scanned paper, chapter notes, or a list of textbooks and chapters.

6.2 AI output is a draft. Everything an AI feature produces is a starting point for you to check, not a finished product. It can be wrong. It can be confidently wrong. It can attribute a chapter to the wrong book, mark the wrong option correct, or invent a title that sounds real.

6.3 You review before students see it. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before you publish it. The app is built around that review step — drafts are shown to you before anything is saved, and content is not student-visible until it is published. Do not skip it. If a wrong answer reaches a student, that is on the person who published it.

6.4 No warranty of accuracy. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any examination, board or curriculum. We do not warrant that a textbook title or chapter list it returns is the edition your class is actually taught from.

6.5 Uploaded Material — your warranty. When you scan, photograph, paste or import material, you warrant that you have the right to use it in this way: that you or your institution wrote it, own it, or have permission from the rights holder. You are asked to confirm this each time, to describe what the material is, and that confirmation is recorded against your account with the date and time.

6.6 What you must not upload. Do not upload pages from a published textbook, another institution's question paper, or any other work you do not have the right to copy. The transcription feature reproduces what is on the page by design, so uploading someone else's work makes a copy of it.

6.7 If we are notified. If a rights holder tells us that material on the Platform infringes their rights, we may remove it, and we may suspend the account that uploaded it, without notice. See clause 13.

6.8 Fair use of AI features. AI features cost us money per use. We may set and change per-user or per-institution limits, and may suspend access to them for an account that is using them abusively or automatically.

7. Acceptable use

You will not:

• share your account, or let anyone use it who has not accepted these terms;
• access, or try to access, another institution's data;
• upload material you do not have the right to upload (clause 6.5);
• upload anything unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or harmful to a child;
• use the Platform to collect personal data beyond what your teaching requires;
• extract Platform Content in bulk, by scraping or otherwise;
• probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of the Platform, or use it to attack anything else;
• resell, sublicense or provide the Platform to a third party as a service; or
• automate access to the apps or the API outside features we provide.

8. Student data and privacy

How we handle personal data — yours and your students' — is set out in the QuizQuest Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

In summary, and without limiting that policy: for Student Data we act on your institution's instructions and for your institution's purposes. You remain the one who decides which students are enrolled and what is asked of them.

Read the Privacy Policy. It names every third party your data passes through and every country it is stored in.

9. Availability, changes and support

9.1 No uptime guarantee. We provide the Platform on an "as available" basis. We will try to keep it running and to give notice of planned maintenance, but we do not guarantee any level of availability. Do not build a live examination around an assumption that it will be up.

9.2 The product will change. We may add, alter or remove features. Where a change would materially reduce something you rely on, we will give what notice we reasonably can.

9.3 Support. Support is provided by email at crafturainnovations@gmail.com on a best-efforts basis. There is no guaranteed response time.

9.4 Beta and early features. Some features are offered before they are finished, and we will say so where that is the case. They may change or be withdrawn without notice, and clause 12 applies to them with particular force.

10. Fees

Unless we have signed a separate written agreement with your institution, the Platform is currently provided at no charge. We may introduce charges in future. If we do, we will give your institution at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies to it, and you may stop using the Platform rather than pay.

11. Suspension, termination and what happens to data

11.1 You may stop at any time. Your institution can stop using QuizQuest whenever it likes, and can ask us to delete its data.

11.2 We may suspend. We may suspend or terminate an account or an institution that breaches these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or where we are required to by law. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

11.3 What deletion does. When an institution is deleted from the Platform:

• its classes, question sets, papers, assignments, notices, rosters, enrolment records, invitations and reports are permanently deleted, in every system that holds them, including file storage;
• its staff accounts — administrators and teachers — are permanently deleted, including their sign-in credentials;
• student accounts are not deleted. A student's account belongs to the student, not to the institution. It is unlinked: the student becomes an ordinary public player, keeps their own quiz history, experience points and progress, and can join another institution.

11.4 What survives. Deletion is permanent and we cannot undo it. Some records outlast it, and deliberately: our own operational logs, billing records where they exist, and the records of who confirmed they had the right to upload material (clause 6.5). We keep those for as long as we need them for the purpose they were created for, or for as long as the law requires.

11.5 Export before you go. Take what you need first. Reports and rosters can be exported from the app while your institution is active. Once it is deleted we cannot produce them.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

12.1 As is. Except as these terms expressly say, the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12.2 Educational outcomes. We do not warrant that use of QuizQuest will improve any student's results, or that content in it matches any board's prescribed syllabus. Curricula change and we may not know it yet.

12.3 Cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you and your institution arising out of or relating to these terms or the Platform, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount your institution paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) INR 10,000.

12.4 Excluded losses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss.

12.5 What is never excluded. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Complaints, and material you believe infringes

We take complaints seriously and we would rather hear about a problem than read about it.

13.1 Grievance Officer. In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021:

13.2 What we do with a complaint. We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours of receiving it, and resolve it within 15 days. Complaints about material that impersonates someone, or that shows a person in a sexual or nude form, are acted on within 24 hours. Where we receive a court order or a government notification requiring material to be removed, we act within 36 hours.

13.3 Copyright and other rights. If you believe material on QuizQuest infringes your rights, write to the Grievance Officer with: what the material is and where it appears; what right you hold and evidence of it; your contact details; and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised. We will review it, and will remove or disable access to the material where the complaint is well founded.

13.4 Counter-notice. If material of yours is removed and you believe that was wrong, write to the same address and we will review it.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from: material you uploaded that you did not have the right to upload; your breach of clause 4.2 (consent for student data); your breach of clause 7 (acceptable use); or your publication to students of AI output you did not review.

This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach of these terms or our negligence.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we make a change of substance, we will publish the new version and ask you to accept it the next time you open the admin app. You will be told what changed. If you do not accept, you may not continue to use the admin app.

16. General

16.1 Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

16.2 Jurisdiction. The courts at Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek urgent injunctive relief anywhere.

16.3 Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Platform, and replace anything said before — unless your institution has signed a separate written agreement with us, in which case that agreement governs where the two conflict.

16.4 Severability. If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest stands and the unenforceable clause is read down as far as necessary to make it valid.

16.5 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up.

16.6 Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to a successor to our business.
